As Phi Sig's at Sac State, we have the amazing opportunity to support causes that are important to our fellow Greeks. By taking part in our fellow Fraternities and Sororities events, we have been able to support wonderful organizations such as Children's Miracle Network, Habitat for Humanity, Jimmy V. Foundation, and Wounded Warriors project.

In recent years, we have been fortunate enough to participate in and win:

  • Tau Kappa Epsilon, Apollo Goddess (2023)
  • Greek Week, 3rd Place (2019)
  • Delta Gamma's Anchor Splash, 1st Place (2018)
  • Greek Week, 1st Place (2018)
  • Delta Chi's Marlett Madness, 1st Place (2018)
  • Sigma Phi Epsilon's Ms. Congeniality (2018)
  • Kappa Sigma's Beauty Bowl, 1st Place (2016)

PHILanthropic Participation

OUR PHILANTHROPY

"Are You Smarter Than A Phi Sig?" is Phi Sigma Sigma's annual philanthropic event that includes all Fraternities and Sororities at Sac State.  This event is held during the spring semester each year.  During the week, we sell paper books and hold coin wars, and conclude the week with a tournament similar to the popular game show with a similar name.  This fun-filled event brings together all members of the Greek community and is supported by our local Alumnae Chapter, family members and chapter. This year, we were able to raise nearly $1,500 to support the Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation.

Throughout the year, Phi Sigma Sigma's work to raise funds and donate time to philanthropic causes.  We support both our international and local philanthropies, and support causes that promote school and college readiness.

International Philanthropy: Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation, which raises proceeds to go to the Kids In Need Foundation. Additionally, it provides grants and scholarships for our women who succeed in academia.  Funds are allocated towards our Twin Ideal Fund, which has donated to the survivors of September 11th, the Red Cross, the victims of Hurricane Katrina, and more recently, the victims of the Japan earthquake and tsunami.

Local Philanthropy: Shriners Children Hospital, which our sisters help, play, and craft with the patients of the hospital monthly.
